The book, The Story of the Oliver Twins, is 236 pages in length and finished to the very same high standard as my previous books and covering the history in gaming of Philip and Andrew Oliver from their very early days whey they learnt to program in their bedrooms through their days at Codemasters before moving on to start Blitz Games.
The book also celebrates their best games, as well as containing personal memoirs from many who worked with the Twins.
I'm yet to read the book bug first impressions are good
I fascinating trip through the minds of a couple of greats and brought back schoolboy 8bit memories. Highly recommend.
Really interesting book, a lot of background info, especially about Codemasters vs Olivers relationship. Also origin of Game Genie, Aladin deck enhancer and all those Dizzy games. What I miss is some summary of Dizzy legacy, a chapter about the fan games that were made in hundreds in recent years.
Very insightful, engrossing and entertaining read. Thank you.
The detail inside this very colourful book about the two men as children , TV appearances and their thoughts on the gaming industry being bigger than TV and Movies. Wow. Really interesting how they learnt and with their mum and dad's support to not go to Uni but do this as A JOB. Brilliant, just Brilliant
